Are the rooms at Mythologic Escape Rooms scary?
Do we have to arrive well ahead of time?
We at Mythologic Escape Rooms love hearing from you.
However if you have a common query like those above, it makes no sense that you should have to fill in the contact form and wait for us to get back to you.
So, we’ve answered the rather straightforward questions we keep getting asked, below.
That way, you can get your query clarified instantly and get on with booking your escape!
What time should I arrive?
It’s preferable that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled escape so you can cool down and get focused.
If I’m late, can I still play?
We would prefer it if you weren’t late.
Please keep in mind that if you arrive late and the slot next to yours is booked, we will have to deduct that time from your allotted 60 minutes so your slot ends on time since it’s really not fair to keep the group next to you waiting for no fault of theirs.
I need to reschedule my reservation!
Being enthusiasts ourselves we really want to see you try out our rooms. And we will do our best to reschedule should you need it.
However we can’t guarantee anything since it depends on the availability of slots. And on most days, there aren’t that many available!
How many people can play at once?
All our games are best suited for 2-6 players.
Are the rooms private or will we be sharing?
You can share with another team if you want to. We don’t group different teams together to fill up our rooms.
Can I add players to my team after I've booked?
Yes, as long as you don’t exceed the maximum number of players for your room.
What should we wear?
Whatever you feel like wearing – this isn’t the Royal Wedding!
However do remember that this is an escape room, so the room design isn’t regular. So, if you’re wearing a dress, for example, you may find it difficult to ensure that it doesn’t catch onto anything and rip off.
Can children play?
Welcome To The Jungle is suitable for all players.
Countdown is also suitable for all players. However the narrative does contain suggestions of violence and you should consider whether you want to expose your children to that.
Players under 16 will not be allowed to take part in Penn13wise since it includes elements of horror.
In all events, players under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Can we drink alcohol before playing?
The entire point of an escape room is being on your toes. You can hardly do that if you take alcohol.
Also, certain scenarios in our rooms may require limited physical activity and ingestion of alcohol before taking part may lead to injuries. So, we’d ask that you not take any alcohol before coming to Mythologic Escape Rooms.
Do you have parking?
There are various car parks and on street parking within a few minutes walk from us. Parking is not an issue to worry about.
Is it wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately not at this time the only access to our escape rooms are up a flight of stairs.
Can I use my phone in the room?
As one enthusiast to another, you do understand that we can not allow anyone to call in hints or take photos or videos of the room.
So, while you may carry your phones into the room, using them is strictly prohibited.
We monitor the rooms constantly and if you do use your phone the game will be stopped immediately and you will be removed from the premises.
Is it scary?
Welcome To The Jungle is not scary at all.
Countdown involves some violence in its narrative and is scary to that extent.
Penn13wise has a horror-based narrative and therefore is scary to an extent.
What is an Escape Room?
An Escape Room is simply what the name suggests – a room you have to escape from.
The room itself is filled with various kinds of riddles and challenges.
You are locked in with your team mates and all of you have to work together to find a way out.
How long does the experience last?
You get 60 minutes to escape from the actual room. Some rooms may have 45 minutes escapes but we’ve decided to stick with the popular 60 minute format.
However we believe our escapes are as immersive and enjoyable as the very best of them so the experience should last you a lifetime!
